Cause

Software metering settings have been known to cause high CPU utilization.

Resolution

1. Check to see if Software metering is enabled in SMS under Site Hierarchy | <Site Name> | Site Settings | Client Agents | Software Metering Client Agent.

2. It is recommended that a setting in /etc/opt/Vintela/vmx/vmx.conf be changed on the Unix server. Change the parameter vmx.metering_poll_interval=10 (in seconds) to a value between 2 to 4 hours to see if the behavior changes.
